This new 3 story home is built on a tight lot in a neighborhood undergoing a gentrification of sorts. The primary interest was to satisfy the owner’s needs and desires while minimizing the perceived scale of the home. Breaking up forms, assigning a hierarchy and mixing materials has led to an appropriately scaled home. Across the street is a heavily-wooded site of a nature museum, providing unique vistas in this inner-city neighborhood.
